Orders are sent to the producers to pack, and to the zero-emissions logistics company, Velocity, to organise collection.
Orders are delivered into the city by Velocity via cargo bike every Tuesday, having been picked up from producers the previous day – ensuring the freshest and best quality produce.
Our food systems are at a tipping point. Farmers, consumers, and the planet are facing challenges that demand urgent action. OxFarmToFork is here to help build a resilient, sustainable food system. See our 'About OxFarmToFork' page for more information.
Building on our 2024 success, we’re aiming to sell 60 tonnes of produce, collaborate with 24+ institutions and 25+ producers, and support research on reducing carbon emissions and boosting biodiversity. We’re also expanding access to schools, hospitals, and more—bringing local, sustainable food to everyone in Oxfordshire. To make this happen, we’re seeking funding to improve user experience, gather data on soil health and nutrition, launch community education initiatives, and scale our impact. If you can help, we’d love to hear from you at oxfarmtofork@gfo.org.uk.

We take our due diligence seriously, requiring each producer to complete a comprehensive checklist developed using the Agroecological Assessment Framework. This ensures our network consistently upholds sustainable and ethical practices. Some producers have gone even further by providing detailed insights into their operations. For example, Willowbrook Farm excels in ethical egg production, ensuring animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Similarly, The Missing Bean, Oxford’s original independent coffee shop, sources only direct-trade coffee—paying above the Fairtrade minimum wage. They also source flour for their sourdough from Bruern Farms and other organic Cotswold producers, reinforcing their commitment to local and sustainable sourcing.
