Play:Full is an Oxfordshire-based holiday scheme that ensures that children can access healthy food alongside holiday enrichment activities. Play:Full programmes are free to join.

If you are looking for a Play:Full programme in other districts then contact mail@gfo.org.uk. Currently most programmes operate in Cherwell but programmes are growing in other areas.

Other providers also offer holiday activities with food and you can find out more about these here. If your child receives free school meals then many of these activities are free.  You can find out more here.

PLAY FULL RESOURCES

For groups who run holiday activities

If you run sessions for children in Oxfordshire during the holidays, or are thinking about starting one, then this training video was made for you. In this training, you will find out what Play:Full is all about, why it’s great for children and families, and how to sign up.

The video is ideal to use during a team meeting or training session. The video content of this session lasts 20 minutes, and with pauses for interaction and reflection the session lasts 30 minutes.

Please have your phone or an internet-connected device available so you can take part in an interactive element at the end of the session. You will get the most out of this session if you designate a facilitator from your group to take you through the content – they don’t need any prior experience of the subject – just to be able to facilitate discussions during the pauses and collect your responses and reflections. We would also appreciate if the facilitator can ensure everyone completes our online feedback form. It is a good idea for the facilitator to have some experience of facilitation.
